NEET Registration Date Extended

NTA has extended the NEET 2019 registration date. Candidates can now register till December 7, 2018. After its decision to allow candidates above 25 years of age to apply for the exam, Supreme Court had asked National Testing Agency (NTA), to extend the deadline for NEET UG application by a week to accommodate all such students who were not able to apply earlier because of the upper age limit criteria. Such candidates can then apply for the NEET UG 2019 entrance exam on or before December 7, 2018. Candidates can pay the fees, through online mode, until December 8, 2018.

Granting an interim relief to the medical aspirants, aged above 25 years, the apex court, however, stated that the candidature of such candidates will be subject to the final outcome of the case before the court on the validity of CBSE's decision to fix upper age limit.
This year onwards NTA will conduct the exam; till last year CBSE was the exam conducting body for the country's biggest medical entrance examination for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. The exam is scheduled for May 5, 2019. Admit cards will be available April 15, onwards.
For the latest updates in regard to NEET 2019 admission, candidates check the websites nta.ac.in, www.mohfw.nic.in & www.mcc.nic.in and the websites of concerned States/Institutions until the completion of a final round of counseling.

How to prepare for NEET & HSC Simultaneously?

You can follow below timetable as a daily schedule for NEET & HSC preparation
Step 1 (Division of Topics): As there are approximately 60 topics for your upcoming NEET, you can divide those topics within 6 months of the remaining 10 months. Let us do the calculations now.
6 months is equal to 180 days and you have 60 topics approximately. You can start preparing for 3 topics per day without missing a single day. Because if you miss a day, your NEET timetable will have to be changed and it is not advisable. This calls for discipline and dedication. The three topics can be from any one subject, any two subjects or all the three subjects. The total should come to three. For NEET preparation, people spend sleepless nights harming their health. If you follow this structure which is organized, you will see that the task was not that difficult. You can dedicate 4 hours each day as you will have your coaching too.

Follow this religiously and be ready to see the change in your NEET preparation after six months.
Step 2 (General Knowledge): While you are devoting 4 to 6 hours in your course books, you can spare 30 minutes every day for General Knowledge as it is included for your NEET. It is an essential part of NEET preparation.
Step 3 (Board Preparation): If you follow the first step of your NEET timetable, you will have completed learning all the topics in the next 6 months. The month of December will be the end of six months. You will have the next three months for preparing dedicatedly only for your 12th boards. While you are studying for your boards, you can continue the GK part.
Step 4 (Final Touch): By the month of April second week, you will be done with your 12th Boards. Start revising all the topics in the last month before you sit for the entrance. In the last month, you should include solving test papers and last years’ papers for scoring better. For this maintain a timer and attempt to appear for NEET previous year papers.
Miscellaneous things to keep in mind in between your NEET timetable:-
  1. Eat well and proper meals even when you are too busy with your studies
  2. Drink lots of fluids and keep your body hydrated
  3. Get involved in physical activities like jogging, brisk walking or yoga
  4. Meditate to gain more focus
  5. Sleep for at least 6 to 7 hours. Lack of sleep will never let you study with full dedication
Tips to study 12th Grade Board Exams
  • Stick to Your Syllabus Book
These syllabus books are the best ones to practice with. Have you ever noticed the high scoring students always stick to the syllabus textbooks and this is only because they know the true significance of that key to success book. Reference books are good to study but only for those students who want to be a part of competitive exams after 12th class.
  • Find your Weak Points
From your pre-boards and class tests papers; look into your answers and find your mistakes. Do a hard work on your mistakes and see that you won’t repeat these mistakes.
  • Time Management
This is one of the big factor responsible for marks. Every student should know how to manage their time during the exam. Make this preparation more beautiful and smart by applying time management on it
  • The Night Just Before The Exam
Keep your mind feel relaxed. Be optimistic about your exams. A positive thought can boost your confidence in giving your exam. Sleep earlier as much as possible, and take a long sleep. This will help you to reset your brain and remember the things more accurately at the time of the exam.
I hope this will help you :)
All the Best :)

NEET 2019 Online Application Form: 6 important things and common mistakes to avoid

1.        Selecting the right medium for question paper:
NEET 2019 would be conducted in 8 regional languages (Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, and Telugu), English, Hindi, and Urdu. Students are advised to carefully select the medium of instruction as it cannot be changed later. Students who choose English as a medium would only get the paper in the English language. Candidates opting for other languages would get a bilingual paper. Please remember, in case of ambiguity in the questions, the English version would be considered final.
2.        Selecting the Examination Centre/ City in accordance with the language chosen:
In continuation of the previous point, please remember that all the languages are not available in all the examination centers. The regional language papers would be available only in specific examination centers. The list is provided here.
Kindly remember that even though a student may apply for a particular State based on Domicile, if the center is not in the corresponding state, he/she would not get the regional language option. For example, a student may apply for Maharashtra State Counselling but would not be able to select Marathi as a language if he/she is selecting an examination center outside Maharashtra.
3.        Eligibility Check:
All the candidates are again advised to thoroughly go through the eligibility criteria for NEET 2019 examination including the age limit and the qualifying examination. Candidates who apply but are found later not to be eligible would be summarily rejected. This rejection could be at any stage of the examination
4.        Applying for 15% All India Quotas:
All are eligible for applying for the 15% All India Quotas for admissions to Central Universities/ESIC and AFMC including Delhi University (DU), BHU & AMU/central pool quota. Students are advised to go through the eligibility criteria of these universities and check before applying. Also, students from the state of Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible for the All India Quota. In case they wish to apply, then they need to submit the Self Declaration Form. Please remember, candidates from J& K who do not submit the self-declaration form would not be eligible for the All India Quota.
5.        A photograph to be saved:
Apart from these, please remember that the application forms would not be considered complete until and unless the candidates upload their photograph and the signatures and paid the fees. Also please note that candidates would be required to carry the same photograph to the examination hall to be pasted on the day of NEET 2019. Hence, it would be advisable to keep a few copies safe.
6.        Print out of Confirmation Page:

NEET 2019 application process is completely online. Students are advised to keep a copy of the printed online application forms and take at least 4 printouts of the confirmation slip. They are, however, not required to submit these to NTA. The copies are only for future reference.

Study, Practice and Revise for NEET Exam

To prepare each topic for NEET exam, we recommend you to start with basic course material like NCERT books. Mind you NCERT books are not at all basic in nature. But they are a great way to start the preparation. Once you have mastered them, by that we mean you have solved all the problems given at the end of the chapter, move to supplementary study material.
Self-study is the most important aspect of NEET preparation. You can take as many coaching as you want, buy as many books as you can, but until and unless you study them yourself, you won’t succeed.

Do not leave any topic. Even for the difficult topics, you should learn fundamental definitions, concepts & formulae and practice-related problems. You need to concentrate on difficult questions on easy topics so that you can have command on those topics.
Remember, that more you practice from NEET level questions, better you become. So don’t forget to solve previous year question papers as well.
There is nothing called a new question. AIPMT (NEET) examiners have to test students year after year on the same concepts, to establish they are capable of making it to the top ranks of NEET exam. So, questions do repeat.
In addition, solving previous year’s NEET question papers will help you to understand the mindset of the person who sets these questions.

For achieving this great target marks:
  • Hard work, Practice and Time Management matters a lot in your exam since you have 180 questions in your paper with 180 mins.
  • Be Confident while preparation.
  • ·         Don’t Sacrifice with your Studies.
  • ·         Do NCERT as many time as possible, NCERT is Bible for NEET Aspirants especially Biology and Chemistry.
  • ·         Join a good test series, it will help you in time management in the exam and you can analyze your mistakes and weak area.

10 Most Effective Tips to Crack JEE Main 2019:

It is that time of the year again when the academic world is smitten by the ‘JEE Main 2019’ phenomenon. Everybody is busy pouring over their textbooks and guides, referring to notes, studying into the night, and sitting at their desk, sucking on pencils and trying to remember all the formulae. You wouldn’t find anyone chatting with their friends or watching television. Isn’t it nice to see everyone busy? At this crucial time, it is important to have some tips to crack JEE Main 2019.
With just a few months left for the examination, your preparation might be in full swing, right? While there are students who have started their preparation, there are also those who don’t know how to plan their JEE Main 2019
Preparation (One of them was me; I was this petrified damsel in distress).
If you haven’t got started, please give yourself a well-mannered punch (yeah, I don’t like violence) and start preparing today! The most important step of all is the first step, guys. You can plan the journey to the destination well only if you know the starting point.
If we go with the experts and JEE Main Toppers, dedicated practice and revision are the major factors that can lead to success. If you are somebody targeting the upcoming medical tests, go through these tips to crack JEE Main 2019

Know the syllabus of the examination well
JEE Main Syllabus is as vast as an ocean, and you need to know the exact location to fish the best output. Cut down on extra information and focus on important topics. Since we know JEE Main exam covers NCERT syllabus as well, you can compare the syllabus with your Board exam syllabus. It is beneficial for you if there are common chapters as you will not need to prepare them separately. This will give you ample time to concentrate on the parts of the syllabus that are not covered.

Good study material

Yes, that’s the most important element! While selecting the right study material for JEE main is little confusing, with the help of teachers and online expert assistance, you can choose the right one. You can consult JEE Main toppers and see which book they referred. Of course, they won’t be reachable for all of you. So, you can read JEE Mains Toppers interviews and try to get an idea about their preparation style. You should prepare study notes for JEE, solve previous years’ question papers and take mock tests to improve your speed and accuracy.

Come up with an effective study plan
Time is priceless. We all know this, yet many aspirants fail to make the proper use of time and take a nosedive. Goal setting can be used as a strategy to help aspirants bring positive changes to their lives. In order to implement the setting of a goal, make sure to ask oneself some questions: What is my goal? Is my goal realistic? How much effort has to be put in to fulfill my goal? Until and unless you make a complete and thorough schedule of the way you want to study, you will not be able to complete the syllabus. Plan for the week in advance and figure out chapters that you need to prepare from the beginning.

Work on weaker areas
It is possible that you are very strong in one subject and weak in the other. Do not get discouraged by the same. Try and work hard more on the weaker areas to strengthen them. If required, take help from a friend or senior or take extra classes for the subject. It will help in overcoming the fear of your weakness effectively.

Practice mock test papers
One of the greatest challenges of the JEE Main examination is the time limitation. Students have to finish 180 questions in 180 minutes (3 hours). It means they can give a maximum of 1 minute per question. Time management is a mandatory skill that is required for this exam. While practicing at home, make sure that you keep the time limitation in mind.

Regular Study Breaks
We are humans and not machines. So, we require timely rest as, after all, even machines need some rest to get back to working efficiently. Hence, it is essential to realize that one can’t maintain an optimum level of concentration without taking an optimum break to recover. But beware that you don’t bring the breaks on a higher priority than studies. Breaks can be in the form of a ten-minute walk, a trip to the gym, having a chat with a friend or simply taking a small nap.

Use New Technologies
There are many people who study by highlighting in the textbooks and making notes with a pen on a scrap of paper. These methods still find their place and importance, but there are countless options for personalizing study than ever before. Be it through online tools, social media, blogs, videos or mobile apps, learning has become easy, interesting and user-centered today. If you wish to try a new learning technology, then Edumateplus is a great place to learn.

Do not fall for guesswork
Many candidates have the tendency of taking the guesswork route for solving questions they don’t know. However, it might prove risky in this case as there is negative marking for a wrong answer. It is recommended to leave a question completely if you do not know the right answer. This is one of the most important tips to crack JEE Main 2019 that anyone can give!
Health is everything
It’s crucial to evaluate yourself both Physically & Mentally Instead of complaining “I never get enough sleep” or “I’m eating too much convenience food,” take control and plan for bringing in the balance. This will help you to be happier and more productive. Avoid junk and oily foods and switch to healthy diet plans. Do meditation and yoga exercises for better concentration. All these tips to crack JEE Main 2019 would be useless without this one factor!

Positivity is imperative
Your attitude decides the effectiveness of the learning process. If you possess a negative approach and keep saying that you can’t do it, then this won’t commit to the idea of learning. A grumbling approach will only make things difficult. The moment you start thinking positively, your brain will show greater activity. A right frame of mind also makes you feel less anxious and more open to new ideas.
We at Edumateplus, highly recommend the JEE Main Test series to get that extra edge over others and ace the JEE Main 2019.
These were some tips to crack JEE 2019! I hope the above information will be useful for your preparations.

How can you plan to achieve highest score in NEET?

Hello, NEET Aspirants!
As you all know that the NEET Exam is the gateway for admission in the country’s top Medical Institutes.

In 2018, total 12, 69,922 students registered for NEET Exam, out of which only 7, 14,562 qualify for NEET.

So here we bring you some tips which you should keep in mind while giving the final strokes to NEET Preparation before a week and a day before the exam.

Below is the revision strategy for NEET that involves working smarter, not harder.

·         Identify Your Weak Topics

The focus now should be much more on the topics you are weak in. That’s because revision is something more than just solving the same content over and over again. It is about ensuring how much you have in your head at that time. It is about covering some particular things which aren’t there but should be! So let’s get started.
·         Arrange a Good Revision Package
This is an essential step because solving the same material repeatedly does not do much good. Instead, during this phase, you should give higher priority to solving problems involving multiple concepts in a single problem. This tests your understanding of different topics and their application. Any coaching material would be useful, provided it is close to the level of the NEET. So, you got the revision package – check one. Next, you have to start solving it with utmost sincerity. Most of them are organized chapter-wise, followed by some part-syllabus and full-syllabus tests.
·         Read a Lot of Theory While Building up Your Weak Areas

It is natural to discover some loopholes in your NEET Preparation at this phase. You should be happy to identify them now as you still have time to fix them. At this stage, solving a lot of problems won’t help if your concepts are unclear. So what to do?

First things first, get a good reference book and circle the particular topic you feel uncomfortable with. Read sufficient theory and solve/go through all the unsolved problems in this new book.

After that, you should feel comfortable with solving basic problems. Gradually go for slightly more difficult ones from the primary modules you used during your earlier preparation. After these two checkboxes are ticked, finally solve that particular topic from the Revision Package.

Remember, this point will take some extra time. Don’t hesitate to devote this extra time to it outside of your regular revision schedule. After all, at the end of the day, it’s you and only you who is responsible for the successful completion of the syllabus

·         Attempt Many Mock Tests

In your studies thus far you have been solving many problems; you have tried many books, several chapter-based tests, etc. But all this will go down the drain if you don’t give a good number of properly monitored mock tests in exam-like situations. For that, you need to join a good test series. Any of the test series offered by reputed coaching institutes will work.
The vital importance of the test series is something that I can’t adequately describe in one paragraph. It is essential for each and every student aspiring to clear the NEET with a good rank. You can check out the profiles of any of the top-ranking students and see that most, if not all of them enrolled in some institute’s test series.

Think about it. You don’t want to spoil your NEET just because you get upset about something on exam day and it throws you off your game. Likewise, you don’t want to get distracted because you couldn’t handle your excitement at seeing an easy paper, or the marking scheme bogged you down, or you suspect you underperformed, or even because you attempted a lot of questions and got them all wrong! No matter what happens, if it completely throws your concentration on game day, you can be defeated before you even start.

·         Don’t Look Back

Finally, the most important thing, Don’t look back or even think of quitting at this stage. You have come through a great period of turmoil, sacrificed all your wishes over the past many months, and finally landed in this last phase before the exam. This is the time to polish things up so that all parts of your hard work assemble together for the final day.
It is okay if you feel down after discovering some flaws in your preparation and maybe even performing badly in one or two mock test. But this does not mean that you should give up over such petty issues. Everyone has some flaws or shortcomings in their preparation. It’s pretty normal to have them, and you can find a way around them in the leftover time. This is the period when you will be mentally tested. This is where all of your hard work over the years pays off. Thus, have faith in yourself and your preparation, study well, and give yourself the best possible shot at acing that exam!
